Unfortunaly I can?t install it right now to try it but I can rest assure that I will be playing with it tonight. Running OSX on a PC is a very interesting concept, even if it?s running on an emulated CPU. Anyway, full review tonight after I've tested it.

<edit>

Wow, I didn?t realize how much controversy there was behind this app, apparently it's a rip-off of PearPC (Which is not very good to begin with or not ready) in any case it is now more interesting to see if Cherry OS works.

It?s all here, all the dirt;

    Couldn't get it to go beyond that stage. This was on Virtual PC (6), with a Panther install CD in the drive. Incidentally, it only works with OS X and has the option to install from an ISO. Not sure Apple would like that!

    I tried installing it on VPC7 with Windows XP SP2 and didn't get very far either. I guess it needs to be installed on a normal PC, I'll try it when I get home from work. I doubt Apple will be happy about it, but since PearPC has been around for awhile I don't know how much is going to happen to get off the market.

    Anybody else try it yet?

    Isn't it technically illegal, I belive somewhere in the EULA it says that you can only install it on a Apple branded machine.

    Apple hasn't tried to shut down PearPC becuase it just emulates the hardware, it isn't specifically made to run OS X like Cherry OS is.

    Anyways, I tried it, but it gave me the apple starting screen, then the apple logo turned to a circle with a line through it.

    I'm guessing that isn't supposed to happen.

    Whatever, my 450mhz G3 could probably run faster than it.

    In case any of you haven't read the stuff about PearPC and CherryOS, they found a TON of PearPC's code inside of it, it even has the same errors, (gives off the same sound bugs when booting).

    Apparently they just put PearPC inside of CherryOS, gave it a new GUI and started to sell it.

    The sad thing is, is that I got PearPC to work, but not CherryOS, and you could probably go on ebay, get a B&W G3 on eBay for less than the cost of buying CherryOS and Panther.
