BTW people should not post giant pics.

Is there any forum script that automatically resizes photos that are bigger than, say, 600X450 ?

People could go on about posting pictures of any size they like, however, the script would resize their pictures to some resolution that would not mess up the thread.

I don't know if this is possible?

I'm working on some rules for CC and that will be among them.

Hopefully we can get our administrator! to follow them.

I don't think that automatic resizing is possible, and even if it was the case it should stress too much the server.

We can only set size limits (horizontal, vertical) and the weight in KB of the pic.

I see. Well that would be good too. It's a mess now; you have to scroll and scroll to see a picture.

For the moment I have limited the size pic at 900 per 900. We are going to make a poll about this.

Size of pic under 900 are perfect for me, but I have a 20 inch screen

640x520 I think is the best idea.

Good coders assume a 1024x768 resolution.

I can understand a horizontal limit, but does there have to be a vertical limit?

Yeah-- even on my Powerbook, I don't think a vertical limit is really necessary. I think it should also be 640 pixels maximum...

I suppose I should say that I most of the images i take are using the Sony V-1. I do use an film SLR (Cannon EF-1) with a variety of lenses but I do so love digital for ease of use and the fact that I don't have to scan the negs afterwards.

Concerning the image size, a poll is open until friday in the Feedback forum.

Nanning China, we had to pantomime our desire for chicken, this is what they brought out....I didn't mind the head so much, but it was boiled.
