    Yeah you have to be pretty high on the geek-meter to do something like that. I said it elsewhere though, it would be in my opinion much cooler if you could use the dock to firewire cable to plug your dock into an external firewire case and use the hard drive as an external drive. No soldering required. Maybe that can be that guy's next project.

    One problem is the iPods aren't designed to holds that many songs. The current photo iPods struggle with the number of photos and songs I have. iPod photo 1.1 is a bug fix as well.

    Slideshows will not work unless you have less than 10000 items (songs, photos, notes etc.). My iPod photo will not sleep properly once it has contacts on it, once the contacts are off it works fine. It has major software bugs basically!
