[IDEA] Web Discussion for small group

in General Discussion edited January 2014
I had this idea last night for a web app that would facilitate discussion for a small group of people. The software would have a Mac OS X front end for administration and serving the app. So, all a person would have to do is set it up, click a button, and it would be done. They would not need to know any code.

How could I accomplish this? I don't really know much about programming, besides web designing, so what technologies would I need to know?

it is slick? It has few features?

well, I would hope that it would be incredibly easy to set up, no need to go through any text documents and type in the name of a database.

unless i'm missing something you could pull this off with just about any blog/cms on the market. installation obviously depends on the package you choose, but many of them are quite simple. something like pmachine or textpattern could easily do it.
