System Folder from Previous Mac

Any reason to keep this? I have it after moving to my new PowerBook.

    same as now... I just did a file transfer when I started using the new Mac.

    I wouldn't bother unless you have some preferences you need (think registered programs which you may have lost the code for....)



    Other then that... I see no reason why to save it.

    If you use that nifty "system tranfer tool" you shouldn't need it. That tool, for sucking off the system and user info, is the slickest thing I have EVER seen.

    that is what I used. And I'm assuming that's how I got it. So you think I can just delete it? It takes up 2.3GB, which is why I'm intereted in dumping it.

    All other things equal, yes. If everything is working now, all the references are from the new system, so you're safe.
