Software Update Question: I have these two installs hanging around

When my computer checks for an automatic update, I have two installations that always show up but never install.

They are: 1. Airport Software 2. iSight Update

I don't have an airport base station (I use a linksys wireless router) and I don't have an iSight camera.

Why do they keep showing up and can I get rid of them??

I have a similar problem with an iChat update. iChat is up to date but software update remains unconvinced of this.

The only solution is to "Ignore" the update by unchecking it's checkbox in software update and then quiting.

It stays unchecked but won't go away. It is just aggravating.

Today is the day to post. Everyone on here like buzzards waiting for Tiger to come out. You get quick response on days like this.

    Thanks!

I would say that you "ignore" the update when you first select it, and then you go in the "Update" menu of Software Update and click on the "Ignore update" menu item.

Heheh... oops. That's what I get for posting from my XP box at work.

It's been so long since I set it to ignore that I forgot it was a menu item separate from the checkbox.
