Transparent laptop screens

Yeah, it's a trick with setting your desktop to a picture of whatever is behind your screen. But it looks pretty cool, and apparently it really begins to feel to the user like your desktop is transparent and the stuff on your desktop is kind of floating in space. Here's the article about it.

    I worked on getting it right way too long, it wasn't working out. My camera sucks a lot.

    Camera on tripod + take picture - remove flat panel or fold down laptop screen + take another picture + PhotoShop = transparent screen.



    One of those "Why didn't someone figure this out years ago" head slappers.

    I give a few months until there's some taiwanese gadget that takes regular photos of the area behind the computer, and updates them to the display.
