YADWS (Yet Another Dashboard Widget Site :))

Thought I'd get the word out about a new site for news, tutorials, downloads, and discussion about Dashboard widget development. It's a free resource I put together because I thought Dashboard could use something like this. Hopefully with a little elbow grease it can become the best one.

    Especially the 8 that Apple makes that are listed.



    Friendly tip: That site isn't going anywhere unless you add screenshots.



    People will not (ultimately) wade through thousands of widgets without seeing a preview.



    Look at Konfabulator/Audion for ideas...

    Too true. Giving people and exact idea of what a widget does is key. Searching has to be easy as well. The categories you have listed are a good pointer. Nicely presented site as well.

    Hi John,



    Thanks for the suggestion and the links. That's actually the feature I'm currently working on. I launched without it just to get it up and running, but it definitely needs prominent thumbnails/screenshots to really work.
