I would just like to say that I fully enjoy a wide array of porn from the internet on my iMac (OS 10.2.3, soon to be 10.4), and until now, had not even heard of VLC.
Between QT and MS Media Player, all of the porn I find is perfectly viewable.
Although I fully enjoy stealing music (despite the little sticker on my iPod admonishing me not to), I have not yet ventured into video piracy. Perhaps that is when I will begin to fully appreciate what this mysterious VLC has to offer.

Using Tiger, the help menu fix was really great to get the other grayed out menus back.
However, I now have problem of vlc crashing whenever I go from full screen view back to windowed view. When I first open a movie and view full screen, it is fine. When I go from full screen back to a windowed view, it goes back, the top window where the close/minimise buttons are for the video goes white, and I get a spinning ball until it eventually crashed not long after.
I've found two other important programs (important to me) that won't run at all.
uuuh... you mind sharing with us or are you just gonna have us guess?
I've tested some of the fantastic CMMs from http://www.pixture.com/macosx.php and noticed the FinderIcon Contextual menu doesnt wrk properly (the alpha channels dont get cpied or something).

ok its me again, and yeah the problem appears to have been isolated, when going from fullscreen to windowed VLC crashes every time under 10.4
