Password protecting a file? How to?

I have a file, and I need to password protect it. How can I do this and then burn it onto a disc, so that when I put the disc into a computer only I can read it after putting a password in?

Fairly Simple to do with encrypted sparsedisk images

Go to Disk Utility in Applications>Utilites

Go to Images>New>Blank Image

Make the size the maximum size you may want the files to be. to be safe, double it.

Now set encryption to the AES-128 and the format to sparsedisk. It will ask for your password after you hit okay. Set it to whatever you want

You will now have a disk image wich will need a password. Before you put it on a disk, as you add files, it will grow to the max size you set. You will need to shrink them with either http://www.macosxhints.com/article.p...40625012304236 or http://www.macosxhints.com/article.p...41207153823222 . When you burn it to a CD, you will still need to password but you wont be able to write to it.

Or try Crypt2.

Uses blowfish for encryption and is just drag and drop.
