I currently have a G4 1 Ghtz Power Mac.

Am I going to see a really large difference between this and a G5 2.0 Ghtz. Machine?

My primary use is professional digital photography, lots of Photoshop and itunes.

Is it worth the move to a new machine or should I just upgrade the G4?

I am sure these kind of questions get asked alot and appreciate any and all feedback.

seeing as how you use photoshop, yes, there will be a big performance gain. also, for those big files, this means you can get tons of ram if needed.

I'm in the same boat. The RAW files I'm suing are getting bigger and bigger - so I'm going to take some of them down to my reseller and try them out on a dual G5 and see how they fare.
