My friend told me that this will be the next iPod or atleast something very similar. Do you think it is true? I think it looks pretty cool.

i wish, it's a good lookin' mockup. buuuuuut, 80 hours of video? That seems a little fantastic. also, i think Apple has moved away from that button layout, and besides, the current click wheel would make much more efficient use of space. it also seems very un-apple to have play buttons in two places, once physically and then another set on what is apparently a touch screen. i wouldn't put it past them, though, to someday have an iPod or iSomething with no physical buttons.

It's cool, but probably nothing more.

No... there is no way apple will not use their clickwheel in the next version.

The touch buttons on 3g iPods were the worst thing about it. (which is why it changed)

These look more like something palm would produce..

If your gonna do a unrealistic mock up of the ipod, at least make sure you use the newer style!

The click wheel could be used to select digits like the old rotory phones...

That would make it the PowerPod to maintain the professional / consumer division.

    ipod / powerpod

    ibook / powerbook

    imac / powermac

Is a professional line needed for iPods?

We already have a professional line - it's called the iPod or iPod photo. If anything, the color schemes are the wrong way round though - the iPod mini should be white like the iMac, and the larger iPods should be brushed aluminium.

I'm just talking about the white / brushed steel themes. But the iPod's already got a sort of pro / cons division with the shuffle and mini vs. the ipod and photo.

exactly iPods and iBooks scratches - iPod pro and PowerBook sex on legs! Also minis are smaller
