PowerBook Combo Upgrade Info

    Am i the only one to find this odd? i didn't think they made modifications when they went from 400/500-550/667 that were significant enough for the combo drive to be incompatible with the older TiBook.



    What changes are present that won't allow for a combo drive in older models?



    or is this just apple's way of politely blowing off owners of the older model?
