Just wondering if anyone knows the policy off-hand since the apple store is currently down. I just recently bought a 600 Mhz iBook and if there is a 14 " version coming out (as indicated by an alt tag at <a href="http://www.apple.com/home"; target="_blank">www.apple.com/home</a> which is now gone) I would like to know if i can return and re buy

I am assuming you can't just return for now reason. But it would be nice if there was a 30 money back satisfaction gaurentee. Oh well.

I believe you are SOL. So am I.... I just bought a combo drive iBook and would prefer a 14" display.

But I understand why they have to do it that way. If Apple updates each product twice a year, and gives people who bought the product &lt;30 days before each update the option of returning it, Apple would be taking returns on two months worth of sales of each product every year.

If you bought at a physical Apple store, there is a 10 day return policy for any item.

You lose 10% in restocking fees, however.

If you bought it from the online Apple store then you are definitely SOL.

Try this URL: <a href="http://store.apple.com/Catalog/US/Images/salespolicies.html"; target="_blank">http://store.apple.com/Catalog/US/Images/salespolicies.html</a>; it is working now. BTW, last year the online store let me exchange my G4 450 PCI for a G4 500 Sawtooth AND gave me a check for the difference due to the lower price. Make sure you read the price proctection policy.
