For those of you who haven't heard, BT's studio was robbed -- everything was taken.

BT is a long time Apple user, and as we saw with the Powerbook G4, he often gets to play around with new hardware before it's released. In other words, he very well could have had unreleased hardware in his studio when it was robbed.

Kind of makes you wonder if LCD iMac's and GHz G4's are going to start showing up in pawn shops around BT's studio... <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />

Yep. Sounds like he's going to have to cancel a bunch of concerts, too.

Was he that guy in the video that accompanied the release of the Titanium PowerBook last year?

The young guy with the Goo Goo Dolls hair talking about the TiBook and how cool it was?

    Is that the guy?

thats the guy... not quite goo goo dolls hair... but you are thinking of the right guy. A geniunely nice person, who makes incredible music. For those who aren't familiar with his work, Movement in Still Life is a great album. Its too bad that most of the fourth album was on those machines, i was really looking forward to it.

Wow, that DOES suck. I don't know his music, but BEING a musician and having lots of friends with really expensive gear, I can imagine how devastating this must be.

Hope he catches a break and the people who did it are nabbed.

    BT sucks.

but anyway, there's no way in hell he tests hardware. That's silly.

and not to be a jerk or anything, but I'm sure he could afford to buy everything all over again even if he didn't have insurance - which I'm sure he does.

Is that a personal opinion, or a professional one? Are you a musician as well?

And anyway, it's not so much the equipment, as it's what's on the equipment. Remember the guy that lost a Powerbook with his next book on it? I can't remember the amount of the reward, but it was more than enough to buy a few Powerbooks.

Backups-- we don't need no stinkin'... d'oh!

On the plus side if some unreleased mac hardware was in the studion, we may get to see some real insider pics! Someone else's studio is a small price to pay for rumor mongering of that quality. If real pics did appear, the back story would probably be more publicity that BT would otherwise ever see. hehehe...

"Yes, the guilty will be caught."

Obviously the guy has no clue of what he's talking about...

Don't get me wrong, I feel for the guys robbed and sincerely hope things get sorted out, but... The professional thieves rarely get caught. I can't see that this was done by a bunch of amateur kids looking for a computer to steal.

Umm can you say PR stunt. I mean come on read the story how more made up can it be and it will pay off in spades because everyone will know who he is now. A few years ago he was robbed at gunpoint and now again. Come on!

    Whatever.....
