Concrete as in phil schiller's head....

any proposed pricing for these models? I am extremely excited about this macworld, because for xmas, my parents wrapped up an apple, a picture of a dolphin, and a 'rosetta stone' to let me know that they will buy me a new iMac on jan 7th. How COOL is THAT? (i'd been telling them all about codename's posts )

Until what you say comes true, you will hence forth be known as 'Masturbating', not Mastergating.

Man, how I'd love to believe you. But any chucklehead can get on here and post whatever-the-hell.

I don't like how the low-end G5 and the two upper-range iMacs are creeping up $100...IF what you're saying is anywhere near truth.

Assuming, for the sake of argument, that you aren't full of shit, I at least hope the prices are a bit more like current models.

Although I'd shell out $1599 for an LCD-based iMac that's sporting today's highest G4 processor.

Two more weeks. Then all this speculating and lying can be over with. Until it starts up again for MWNY.

As long as I can get that iBook on January 8th, I'll be a happy camper.

    Who is lying?

So your source is Phil Schiler? Sorry, but I don't believe it. Phil wouldn't just blab about new products, assuming Steve told him about them.
  • Reply 12 of 163
I'd be ALL OVER that top-of-the-line iMac for those features/price...as long as the design doesn't suck, but I doubt that would happen.

Ummm, why did he ask himself a question and then answer it?

You, probably. Don't act so shocked and innocent. Do you know what kind of people have come before you? You'd do well to forgive my skepticism and just roll with it.

    Nothing personal.

Its only 200 dollars (700 w/ monitor). I don't think its that unreasonable (for Apple). The performance differnce should be very noticable, provided Apple doesn't do something stupid and include little cache.

Then it looks like I'll be spending $1600 on a new iMac shortly! New version of iDVD?

    Mastergateing,

So it would seem that Apple is killing off the DP option?

What's the likelyhood for DDR and 1394b, etc?
  • Reply 20 of 163
Now Hear This "Master Bates," "Ben Dover," or whom ever you are.

    1. For your information, the G5 will not make January. If you have not heard about the cache problems, I am sorry.

    2. It seems a little creepy that you would speak or even over hear Phil, enough to put your findings on a threaded post. ( Although Phil is capable of that level of stupidity I think." sorry phil...

    3. The next thing you hear about when you hear about the G5, will be the quad processor. As you may have read the G5 is in production, but how about the functionality inside Apple hardware. Here is where the problem is.
