Tiger and Photoshop Elements 3

After upgrading to Tiger last week, Photoshop Elements 3.0 seems to be behaving eratically. If the application is not the first one opened after start up, almost all of the main functions are gone - I can't create a file, open one, or even quit without using Force Quit, the toolbar icons and menu bar icons are grayed out.

The only way I can open a file after this has occured is to Ctrl-Click it in the Finder, I can't create new files. It's ridiculous that I should have to restart my Mac each time I want to use PE3. Is this a problem with PE3 or Tiger? I tried reinstalling PE3 but to no avail. Any suggestions anyone?

--My Mac--

- iMac G3 450Mhz

- 320MB RAM

- 20GB Hard Disk

- Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.0

- Adobe Photoshop Elements 3 (installed on boot disk)

----------

Any help is greatly appreciated,

Max

I've used Elements several times with no issues since I've upgraded - originally with 10.4 and now on 10.4.2.

Have you tried repairing permissions using Disk Utility?

    Yes, that didn't work either.
