Ultra160 option on PMG4. . . ?

Does anyone know what card it uses? Somehow I doubt that it's the rip-roaring ATTO Dual Express3PCI. (Nicknamed "the double barrel" by my EE friends and I ). If it's some crummy adaptec card I'll be slightly vexed, but since I'm not going to buy one, it doesn't really matter.

Just curious

Apple's SCSI OEM cards have always been from Adaptec in the past. I don't see any reason why that would have changed.

Apple did use Atto cards at one point, witht he smurf towers or something. I know they used something other than Adaptec at some point.

Apple features the Adaptec 39160 on one of the pages about the PowerMac... I think it's under the heading "expansion".

Eh, so it's a better deal to get the ATA and then drop in an ATTO. I would venture that the single Express3PCI is probably faster than the 39160 in all but a few cases.

    Fantasizing. . . I am broke now <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" />
