Sharing folders

I've been a mac user now for about 2 years and the ONLY thing I miss about windows is being able to share individual folders (right clicking the folder you want to share and click 'share folder') instead of the mac way which is just only being able to have one shared folder and if you want to share something on the network you have to copy it into the public folder. My question is, is there a way to share an individual folder with mac without moving it to the public folder? And if not, then whats my best bet. Thanks for your time.

You could do it at the UNIX level with NFS mounts.

If you don't know how to do it, you actually don't need to. SharePoints does the same thing in the same way without having you to open the Terminal. If you still want to do it the hard way, type
    Code:

    man mount

    in the Terminal.
