photo pro wish list

I do lots of digital photo art http://www.fotki.com/mercury7 and although

I know that apple will probably be catering

to the photoshop crowd with any high end features in

their new app, I really wish they would go

the route of a picture window pro type program.

Its a windows only program that is so intuitive

and easy to use and really lets you use your creativity

instead of just trying to figure out how to do something.

photoshops learning curve is just to steep. I hope the

designers of the new app at least got to use this program

once.

    My wish:

I wish people wouldn't post software topics in Future Hardware.

Well...as someone with thousands of photos ? a tiny percentage of which have ever seen the light of day, I'd kill for an app that streamlines my photo editing process.

I often return from shooting a baseball game with 600 images. Due to time constraints only 20 or so make it to the web and less into my magazine. As about half the pictures are publishable, I'd love to have a way to batch process and edit them (and it really hasn't worked with Photoshop, because I need to caption and custom crop each shot, which takes forever in PS) and be able to put them up on the Web.

I'm hoping Apple pulls another can't live without it app out here. Praying might be more like it, because otherwise I'll be spending all Winter working through some 20,000 pictures. Slowly.

It will be like iView Media Pro only with a skin like an Apple pro-app.

    Betcha.

No, or utterly rudimentary, image processing.

Isn't that already covered by iPhoto? Or did you have something else in mind?

iPhoto is a bit of a joke to pro photographers ...

What I'm thinking of here is a serious workflow / file management tool.
