invisibleSHIELD vs. Martin Fields... Any Opinions?

i am about to order one of the new ipods and am going to order a protective film for it. the invisible shield has gotten rave reviews but i am slightly concerned about the textured look of it. the martin fields cover (the two piece version for the front and back) is smooth and glossy but i am not sure if it protects the sides of the ipod like the invisible shield does. so my questions are: 1) does the martin fields film protect the sides of the ipod? 2) is the textured surface of the invisible shield significantly noticeable? 3) which one will provide better protection or will the difference be negligible?

    I am using the Martin Fields on my iPod 5g, and iPod nano. They are great.
