The best 17 or 19 inch CRT out there?

I need a monitor and will be going for a CRT. Just like to hear if you can give me any recommendations. I'm very sensitive over flickering. Never been able to use my iMac in 1024*768 because of it though most people think it's ok. Anyway, I need a good CRT, close to flicker free. Anyone here used the brand Samsung or ViewSonic?

How much are you willing to spend? If you're okay paying a premium, you can't go wrong with Sony.

I bought the cheapest Samsung 17" monitor they had at Best Buy last year ($150) and it is better than the Philips 17B I paid 800 dollars for back in 95! It works nicely up to 1152 and 75 Hz but the 1280x1024 at 60 Hz is to much flicker.

Wit the current low prices I would also look at 19" monitors 1280x1024 gives you substantially more space than 1024x768 :-)

Samsung makes a good 19inch. I kind of like Hitachi if your lookin at standard Invar shaddow mask.

I'm also in the market for a 19" totally flat CRT.

Three I am considering are the NEC FE950+, Hitachi CM721FB, and Samsung 900NF. All look good.
