Wireless Connectivity Problems

I have a 15" 1.5Ghz Powerbook G4 and a Linksys Wireless Router with Speedbooster. Security is on WPA-PSK.

The problem is that before 10.4.3, my setup worked flawlessly. I never had a dropped connection in my house, and everything was nearly as fast as a wired connection. I upgraded to 10.4.3 and then did the Airport update issued after that. Now I'm lucky if my wireless connection works at all! And when it does work, its barely faster than dial-up. I havent' changed anything... so I don't get what's wrong. Have there been setting changes in 10.4.3 that I'm unaware of?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Well, the first thing to do is plug the cable modem directly into the computer, bypassing the router. Check your download speed at http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ . If it is OK, then the router is the problem.

The router isn't the problem. I have a Windows desktop PC on a wire to the router, and it works flawlessly.

    Any other ideas?
