Is there a way to easily re-install the Address Book.app?

    Check

    /Library/Address Book Plug-Ins

    ~/Library/Address Book Plug-Ins

    /Applications/Address Book.app/

    for any additional bundles.

How is it "Evil"? Plaxo on anything has no spyware, doesn't send SPAM, and is fully and 100% user controllable.

Yeah, I'm a heavy Plaxo user. I use it on my Mac and my PC. MacPlaxo is an independantly developed software package that has no relevance to Plaxo, Inc - and I'm using that on my Mac and haven't had any issues...

You might want to get support for it to see why its not working. I'm using 10.4.3.

There weren't any folders or files in those areas? Any other ideas? Should I re-install it and remove it a different way? I basically just dragged it into the trash.

We're talking about "e2xo Plaxo Conduit .96beta", right?

I'll install it, then try and uninstall it, then get back to you.

    (edit) Okay, so there's

    1) a menu item, which you delete by quitting, then removing the e2xo.app application.

    2) a system preference pane, which you delete by right-clicking on it in System Preferences, then selecting remove.

    3) an address book bundle strangely named BX and incorrectly placed in InputManagers, i.e. either ~/Library/InputManagers or /Library/InputManagers, depending on how you set it up.

(edit2) Finally, you can delete your settings by removing the items

    ~/Application Support/e2xo

    ~/Preferences/e2xo.pref.plist

, as has been pointed out.

    Good luck.

On my system the files are in

    ~Application Support\\e2xo

    ~Preference Panes\\e2xo.prefPane

    ~Preferences\\e2xo.pref.plist

There may be others, but that's where I see it.
