iMac harddisk management

how do i do that?

do i have to do such things as in my PC?

like scan disk, disk defragmentation, ...etc, regularly?

but i dont see disk utility programme in here to do that?

or it's somewhere?

    There's Disk First Aid in the Utilities folder, no defragging utility though. Macs are a big market for these kinds of things: Norton System Works, Disk Warrior, Drive 10, etc.



    Frankly, I find them somewhat pointless except maybe a defragmenting utility. There's a fairly big debate over at Macintouch about which defragging utility does a good job, how much one is necessary too.
