Aspect Ratio Problems with iDVD

I am making a DVD, and the mp4 file I'm using is widescreen. Unfortunately, whenever I burn it onto a DVD through iDVD, it shows up with much of the picture cut off on a normal TV (i.e. no widescreen black bars).



What can I do to solve this problem?

    I'm not sure - I did find it a bit odd that iMovie supports widescreen but iDVD doesn't. I'm sure there must be a way but I'm unaware of it!
