How much does Apple pay for 15" TFT displays? According to this article...

    Hard to say if that's really Apple's cost or the general cost to consumers...

    It's at least the wholesale cost that particular comnpany charges Apple. Consumer prices would be higher of course (and are as it's just the "raw" TFT component we're talking about).

    Roughly $250 is the wholesale price I have seen for LCD displays lately. Hard to know if Apple buys at this price or not. There is a lot of negotiation that goes on when you offer to buy a couple million of anything.



    Also, there may be some quality grades or feature differences that affect the price as well.
