Should I update my iPod's version?

I heard that there's now a version 1.1 for the iPod. In my "About" screen, it says my version is 1.0.2. Should I upgrade? Would it help me any? I heard that it wipes the drive when you upgrade, is this true? Thanks for any answers.

    Yes. Yes. No it doesn't.



    High pitched whine is now gone, which is another reason to upgrade.

    Yes, do it. Adds some nice features and improves performance. It will also allow you to add your address/phone list in a file called "Contacts".
