    Oh well, at least iDVD now supports third party burners, which makes this point somewhat moot...

    Can someone explain why this is. My new PB will burn DL's why would they take a step back?

    I have no idea. Some think it's just a mistake on the site. I doubt it. Guess we'll see in the next few days.

    It's definitely not a mistake on their site. You'll notice during the keynote that Jobs had the exact same spec and "conveniently" skipped over it when detailing the specs for the MacBooks. Maybe there aren't any sata slim-line dual layer burners on the market?
