I take it that the new Intel chip isn't 64 bit. Seems a bit of a retrograde step in that respect - any comments?
Yes. This fact alone made me think that Apple would eventually wait until 2H06 before moving the iMacs to Intel. But no, the benefits from using the new Intel dual core CPU outweigh by far the importance of having a single 64-bit G5 (I doubt if this is a concern for more than 1% of the users).
