From the pics I presume those are painted and not anodized?
Is it possible to anodize plastic? I don't think so... you have to have an aluminum/metal surface to do that, which explains why the aluminum part of the iMac in the pic is still silver colored.
There are rumors circulating that Apple will be releasing a "Limited Edition" Black iMac to go along with the Black iPods sometime in 2006. Does anyone know if there is any truth to this rumor? as I would be extremely interested in purchasing such a product.

The fact that you took me seriously is somewhat concerning.
I don't see why. There are always hicks that come up with dumb ideas. See the custom miniitx case sites. There are those people that think that screwing a few parts together constitutes "building" a computer.

April 1 is Apple Computer's 30th birthday. The Mac was born January 1984.
1. Select and pay for your iMac, 17" 20", PowerPC or CoreDuo
2. Walk to local hardware store, buy can of Black spraypaint.
3. Walk Home, with spraypaint. If you are under 18 and live in australia, hold it conspicuously, and walk past as many police officers as possible.
4. Apply Spray paint to surface area of iMac, avoiding the screen, speakers and ventilation points wherever possible.
5. Wait for paint to dry.
6. Repeat steps 1-5 for each additional iMac.

Spray paint generally is gross. The finish almost never looks good and is too soft and softens with fingerprint oil.

It looks to me they've cut the prices because it isn't for the latest models, iMac or iMac G5.
If they didn't have their brand name on the front then I would be interested. Assuming I had an iMac.
