Apple would never release anything with buttons and an interface that complicated.

forget the frickin' walkman logo. i just got tired of editing and i left it there.

it's just a proposition of size, appeareance, specs, functionality and price

(couldnt you see beyond the logo?)

EDIT: ok, a simpler interface. what about this one:

You obviously have some great graphical talent.

the product does look like the mutant child of an Apple/sony venture though. the center wheel looks straight from sony. apples designs are much cleaner and nicer looking than sony's. I hope applenever borrows anything from sony.

this is just my two cents on that as an actual product release. However, Your editing capapbilities are quite good.

i love the idea of an iphone.

i'm tired of having to log around both the ipod and a phone.

however the problem i'd have with an iphone would be battery life.

if they could have something with some serious battery life then sure.

    good mock up though

thanx for your kind words. i've been using photoshop before it had layers (could you imagine that) i was just a kid then.

This is just playing around with a few ideas i had in my head on a boring sunday morning.

the truth is that i've been waiting for apple to release a phone for a year or more. i'm truly convinced they'd grasp a considerable market share in no time.

i've used parts of the sony k750/w800/w810 because i think this is the closest to the perfect phone (aside smartphones) you can get: dimensions, kb size(the w800), features, etc.

in the 3rd-4th quarter sony is going to upgrade those models with a QVGA screen and 3MPx cam. Now if only it had an Apple OS!

with the "iPhad" (fat, phone, pda) the goal was to get a smartphone the size of the current ipod with touchscreen (i'm writing a novel and would like to do it anywhere) and WIFI, for more advanced users. phone, video, mp3, camera, iskype, text writing, keynote docs presented on a tv... why is Apple letting this aside? hey cupertino hire me, i got plenty ideas (down on paper already).

about battery life: substitute the HD for flashbased memory and you're there. If you can live with 2-4GB of storage space, those cellphones would be your new ipods.

what do you think about the specs and features? every single one of them are currently offered by the different manufacturers, so my proposal would be perfectly doable.

any other suggestions about the looks?

nice design, though i preferred one posted something similar to iPod nano in one of the post

If it is just iPod (phone) - it shd be in size of nano

if it like PDA - may be 5th Gen iPod size - nt bigger than please

oh yeah - no more button - click wheel is fantastic!

you scroll the contact and click call or enter the number using u r stylus or tocuh screen

in my P800 - i seldom use buttons - Jogdial is a great!

    awesome renders, etc..

I'd love the size of my iPod Video 60GB with all the GSM functionality.. even with a 30GB HD

    I have 45GB of music.. I need the 60gigger

Plus, imagine all the pics and vids you'd take with this nice little focker..

anyway, if a high-end iPhone were "only" 399, they'd kill just about every cell phone maker in the world.

Something like the "iPhad" would cost, easily, 599usd..

but keep it up.. I like to dream

    awesome..

I'm very partial to sliders. I'm gonna be buying the Nokia N80 as soon as the damn thing is available..

hires screen, 3mp camera with (finally) miniSD support, wifi, UnPNP, Webkit (safari) based integrated web browser..

    just awesome...

    and THAT costs about 500euro..

    i can't help myself..

this would be a slide phone shorter the the typical candy bar but slightly wider (like the rokr). Screen size would be exactly the same as of the ipod, just turned upside down. Video ready.
