student discount help
Hey guys. I'm going to uni in 6months in the UK (Aberdeen University, or Glasgow Strathclyde University). I am intending to get the 14" iBook and possibly a 30G/60G iPod for student life. However, I have no way of finding out the average discount Apple gives to students in the UK as I am not on a university network.
Can anyone give me a ballpark (preferably exact) figure for these two items, with student discount?
It would really help me know how much to save up, and wether it would be cheaper to go with pc/creative products. Thanks!

the MacBook Pro on the other hand is 200 off, while the smaller ibook is only 50
Also, notice the old school candybar toolbar at the top of that page. Shame shame Apple web team!

Dude, you can acess the student store here! http://store.apple.com/Apple/WebObjects/ukInd just type in your university details and you are set!
That is in fact the standard Apple education website. If your university is affiliated with the NUS then you should use the NUS Education website found at http://www.nusonline.co.uk under the special offers section.
You will probably need to register with them first, probably requiring an NUS card, but the savings here are much greater.
