  I work for Minolta, so far my division is safe as we're not involved with the camera end of things. It's quite sad to see people walking around work who will be unemployed on March 31

  Will Minolta cameras be sold as Minoltas through the summer? What is the timetable on this turn of events? Sony will be selling the Minolta camera stock that remains, then the name turns to Sony?

  A far as I know Minolt stock will be sold until it runs out. Sony has purchased some of Minoltas patents and will be repairing the cameras. I believe that Sony will use some of Minoltas patents to make new cameras but Minolta will cease to exist as a brand name.
