Very nicely executed! The bright and shiny black will need a polishing cloth (something the old G3 PowerBooks did not) but very nice. I drool to imagine the keyboard glowing in the dark.

very cool! my first thought was that if the finish is like the iPod, your hands would constantly be smudging the hell out of it. my second thought was that i just bought "the cult of mac", and this movie is a perfect example of the book (not an insult, a compliment). my third thought was that this guy is very talented.

Great work. But what's up with the Dock? There's no Finder or Dashboard.

A couple of points - firtly, excellent work, I'm very impressed. Secondly, I think the (white?) laptop looks a little grey - is it supposed to be white? Maybe you could brighten that slightly. Also, if these are supposed to be iBook replacements (are they?) they are too good - they look better than the MacBook Pro!

The finish looks nice (points for texture/lighting/render skills), but other than the optical drive, no ports or openings in the case at all???

WTF? Where is the iPod plugged into? \

Just out of curiosity, what's all the stuff you rendered out as reflections in the jpeg of the blackbook?

That is some sharp work. Drool worthy for me, definitely.

It's not plugged in...the Blackbook is actually resting on top of the USB plug.

Looks like the first two items in the Dock, running from left to right, before Acquisition...

Looks too much like a high end Mac portable. Next time use a photo of an iBook, and render it... That might be more convincing...

Must be typical blind old me then, the "plus" sign made me think the finder was something else. As for mistaking Dashboard, well, um, I'll get back to you on that.8)

    what's your problem?

it's a great mock up and you're whinning about the fact that it looks to good?

it's an idea not a product.

tsk... back to your room and rethink what you said and why.

if you have any clue come back and share it with us.

It _is_ a high end Mac portable. It's the white version of the MacBook Glossy.

    Really nice rendered. Really nice!

There-s no ports on it because every port is on a UWB-connected port extender not seen

First off, I think the work that was done was brilliant. The artist did a magnificent job of making the computer truely look great. I was simply pointing out that there is room for improvement. The slot loading optical drive is loading from the front, something that only Powerbooks/Macbooks do. And, yes, I know that it is just a mock up of a would-be product, but other people on this forum were bitching about where the iPod was plugged in! Give me a break! I just think it looked too much like a powerbook/macbook. And that's something that Apple will try to stay away from. That's all I'm saying!
