IDE Channels on Cube :::

Does anyone know how many ide channels the cube has? Are the optical & the hard disk on the same channel? or separated?



also



how long is the ide cables?



curious because........



i'm upgrading the HD and was going to get a round cable to improve airflow [since i'll also be upgrading the processor & vid card too ;-)]

    The cube has a single bus. The hard disk is the master, and the CD drive the slave. I don't knwo how long the ATA cable is, but I think it is a custom length that exactly fits the enclosure. The ribbon is on the periphery of the interior and shouldn't impede airflow in any case.

    maybe I'll just keep with the ribbon cable then........



    if the ribbon was restricting any type of airflow, then i was going to opt for the rounded cables......
