I watched 20/20 last night and I immediately noticed that Barbara Walters was using a new iMac. It was sitting on her desk in plain view for a long time. It was kind of funny that when she gave her closing comments she was touching the optical mouse. I just thought you would like to know. Did anyone else notice this? Does anybody know how long she has had the new iMac on 20/20? Interesting...

I am not really new to AppleInsider but I am a new registered member and now poster. I hope that I can give and get some insightful information from this message board, if nothing else it will be some quality "netertainment."

I also saw a new iMac on TV.... it was on MTV, one of the news reporters was in front of an iMac (but you could only see the bottom of the LCD).

It seems to be on EVERY MTV News segment anymore. The only problem is that you can only see the LCD itself at an angle (Though, the screen still remains remarkably bright and readable even when filmed) . Good product placement idea- bad execution.

That's cool that it's on all the time now, I really haven't watched much so I didn't know. I wish they'd show the whole thing though.

If you've watched MTV for awhile, you'll always spot Apple products. They used to always show a Cube G4. Also I've seen an Apple Cinema Display (22") many times.

As I mentioned in another thread, I saw an iMac in a Rogers High Speed Internet ad where some stupid veterenarian was saying how she downloaded x-rays or something. Their DSL competitor featured Indigo G3 iMacs really prominently by doing a head-to-head comparison with dialup service on the two of them.

The Suze Ormann show on CNBC? She uses an iBook with a big ass Suze Ormann show sticker over the apple logo.

Is the Drew Carey show still on? Carey had a Cube for a while, and the 'orrible Mimi always had a G3 iMac.

    Barbara: Now. The other kids.

    iMac: Yes.

Barbara: They made fun of you.

    iMac: Yes.

    Barbara: For being different.

    iMac: They did.

Barbara: That must have hurt you e-norm-ously!

    iMac: (sobs)

Apple products are currently visible in two films:

"About A Boy" and "Hollywood Ending"

Actually, I've seen Mac's all over TV. All Time Warner's Roadrunner Comercials have them.

HBO's six feet under has a power book. Cable tv ch. OXYGEN has ads for its ch. with G4's.

I've found that alot of tv ad's and so on are choosing Apple products bucause they look

good, esp. and G4 tower with a apple cinema display(ooh yeh).

Keep your eyes peelled you'll start to see them every where. PS2,PS1,game cube, TIVO

    has moto mobo,and g3's

Holy **** ! MTV now shows the iMac's LCD screen and base! It's clearly an iMac; however, the shiny logo does not carry over well at that angle.

My roommate was watching Making the Video, and Will Smith dropped his iPod on the ground and made some mention of it.
