Current Powermac line noise

How is the noise in the latest revision of the Powermac line. I heard the original quicksilver's referred to as 'quick-hoovers' because they were quite loud...

Is that the case with the new ones (800,933,DP1G) as well?... or are they quieter?...

thanks

My dual gigger is as loud as a jet plane when the CPU fan kicks in. Same as the Dual 800 released last year

    Stop shouting at me!

You all must be deafened from your noisy fans, and don't realise you are deafening me with your LOUD banter!

Sorry, I can't help my sensitive hearing - it is down to a slow but fanless iMac!

If you can't stand the noise of the SlowSilver (tm) don't even think about using the Dual Athlon.

The one that I have is 3x as loud as the SlowSilver (tm)!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im not a pessimist. And Steve hates fans.

By the by, I just bought a DVD iBook about an hour ago and am using it right now while I watch Start Wars Episode I on it. This is sweet, I can finally retire my 7500.

    happy now

XLR8yourmac.com has a few articles on how to reduce the noise from Quicksilvers.
