    I'd be intrested in seeing how this camera compares in terms of actual use to the GL-1 and also the competition such as sony and panasonic. I'm in the market for a DV camera and have been looking at the GLs and sony's VX2000. anybody got any imput or advise?

    Interesting, but at $3500 it's about $500-$1000 out of my price range at the moment. Specs soung good though.

    The GL2 is less of a change from the GL1 than I had expected. The new Panasonic announcements seem more dramatic to me.

    I was a Canon fan but lately i'm not impressed with their features. Prosumer cams don't really need MMC slots. Panasonic seems to want to make headway in the this area so I look forward to what they can do.
