i put a burned cd into my harddrive on my G5 and it wont show up on my desktop and when i push my eject button nothing happens. anyone know another way to eject the disk?

Open disk utility and try and eject it from there. If that doesn't work, reboot and hold the eject key on your keyboard or push the button. If that doesn't work, boot into open firmware using command-option-o-f and type eject cd hit return then mac-boot.
The same thing happened to me once long ago. The problem was a bad CD-R. What I did was shut down the machine and restart it and then eject the CD, and never put that CD back in, ever
