PowerBook Crash when its cold?
Crazy as this sounds, im having serious problems trying to get my powerbook to turn on, it seems that unless its hot it just crashs as tiger loads, its in a room at 19.2c so its not freezing, i cleared the log last night so i could post the data, this is it, if you can help me out it would be amazing, its driving me nuts, thanks:

It took *months* to diagnose what was going on, even after several trips to the Apple repair unit at the local computer store.
It had a cracked RAM slot. When the machine warmed up, thermal expansion would shove the RAM DIMM out of the slot *just* enough to cause a short, and blammo. When it cooled, it all shrunk back down to have solid contact.
Check to see if your RAM is all seated correctly. It may be that, in your case, heat is causing thermal expansion to *create* a solid connection.

If you load up disk utility and select your hard drive, what does it say the SMART status of the drive is down the bottom? Also, have you run disk utility to check for drive errors?
Checked the SMART status and its "Verified" i have also checked for errors and it comes back clean. have also run "Mac HelpMate" application to solve any other niggles, but i have it cracked now how to turn it on:
1.Turn on and let it crash
2.Leave it crashed for 2mins
3.Turn it on and it works
How weird is that? \

Well, thats the best advice ever! i would send it back but she is a bit old for that now

sorry, I was under the impression that it was new. Also, here in norway we have a two to five year guarantee on these things by law.

ahhh ok that explains, in the UK we get a year, plus this one was already a insurance claim as i dropped my 12" onto a marble floor ooops, thanks for advice, just wish i could use it,

Try booting while holding command-v (let go when the text comes up). This just boots in verbose mode and lets you see the boot process in text. It might help pinpoint when a crash is happening.
Thanks ill give this ago and post the results, i tried reinstalling at first, but the machine crashed off the Tiger disc, so its hardware for sure..... will post when i can, Thanks for helping.

This may be an obvious question, but have you installed any third party RAM? If you have, remove it and see if the problem clears itself up. If it does, your RAM is faulty and you should contact the supplier to get it replaced.
tried that, no luck, also ran "memtest" which came back clean, using my leave it method if it crashes and then restart, its been fine for the rest of the day, still its a bloody pain.
Thanks to all who have suggested, think im just going to live with it
