hehe I'll try. It caught me off guard. I didn't know where it was going until almost halfway through. Then I realized that Apple had just dropped the bomb.

You're very welcome Mac pal. The hit counter passed 100 in under 5 mins of adding it, I wonder how high it will go!

Macrumors.com has the links to another ad that played tonight. Another funny one with the correspondent from The Daily Show.

Now that is an ad that DELIVERS the message!! Very well done and gets the point across playfully. That works!

I like the "restarting" one best.

    It's so life like

I think the iLife one is actually the most tangible, and interesting to me. You know, not just a stable OS that just works, but all the extra stuff that comes with it and haves you actually producing stuff straight out of the box. The "Network" ad portrays this pretty well too.

    Nice.

Now the ultimate version of the ad, would be if Steve jobs played as the "Mac" and Steve Ballmer as the "PC".

Suppose that wouldn't work though as Steve Ballmer isn't compatible with the iPod

Apple needs to bundle solitare, freecell, and mine-sweeper.

Seriously, this is what most novice windows users I know use the most.

Yes it is. But it also kind of makes you think, Apple more or less, with that commercial, uttered a silent challenge for someone to make a virus for Macs. Still, here's to hoping for virii free life.

The 'iLife' one is so terrible...I knew halfway through...the reason they can't actually name anything is because of legal issues...So the point is moot. Besides, I wouldn't get a Mac for iLife.

But I admit, the virus one is pretty clever.

That's the only one I watched (and I saw 'iLife' on tv).

Yeah, way for Mac to exploit the whole virus thing. They've got some smart guys in marketing, since virus-safety is the reason why many mainstream buyers stay away from windows.

Yeah CosmoNut but true. I bet if they bundled Solitaire that alone would nudge marketshare a few hundredths of a percent. Seriously. That's my mom's favorite application hands down. But nooo they have to be all artistic with their Chess and what not... \
