I recently purchased a Macbook Pro and I need a way to transfer all of my music, around 3500 items, from my old pc to my mac. I am aware of Zipping, FTP, Burning, etc. But I want to know what the fastest way out there is. I heard that iPod iRip can transfer music from my iPod to my computer, but I cannot find it after searching for a while. Can anyone please help?

Why don't you use an ethernet cable and copy the files via File Sharing?

Ask if you need more info.

If you get a FireWire cable you can connect your old Mac to the MBP in target disk mode. Your MBP should read the old computer like a hard drive mounted on your desktop. Navigate to wherever your iTunes library is stored and then copy three items over - iTunes Music (Folder), iTunes Music Library.xml, and iTunes Library (Data File). If you copy those three things, you'll be in good shape.

It's called iPodRip. Googling that brings you straight to it.

The only thing is the pathway may be different. if that is the case, in itunes preferences, specify the new location
