After Effects Rendering Accelerator?

We have dual 1 ghz powermac and know of hardware (real time or close to) rendering accelerators such as BLUE ICE 2.0, but these cost around $5,000. Are there any that are more cost effective?

    If you a running multiple machines on a network, you could always do a <a href="http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/28372.htm"; target="_blank">Network Render.</a>
