No apologies needed. Best mockup in this thread so far made by actual people that posted to this thread. In my opinion...

Thanks for keeping the thread alive while the rest of us fart around with all sorts of other nonsense

Smooth, slick, consistent. By the way, Flash designers mostly care about making the coolest, best whiz-bang Flash site out there. Usability can go to hell along with the layperson-users of the site

Technically, it's very nice. But it made me dizzy. You don't have to make everything move on mouse-over just because you can.

Not a bad mockup. If you made it about 20% shorter you could call that the slim tower, or the small tower, that people that are not professionals want, but they really want to appear to be for some reason.

    So where is the image??!?

I could launch SketchUp, select the rectangle tool (dim 4.7", 14") & then the push/pull tool (dim 14")?

And then what? Hit TextEdit for a list of specs??

Come on BM, where is the image??!?

I would do one myself, but after driving SketchUp all week long on a two square mile development, it is the last thing I want to see until Tuesday?!

And what is with architects not being able to close a loop? Or set up layers in an organized way, with meaningful names??!? Seems a good portion of the initial SketchUp work I do is in cleaning up the xrefs first?

I loved the PowerMac G4. First real Mac I spent a lot of time with. The Mac that made me fall in love with all things Apple (though I'm a bit cynical now).

The handles were awesome on that. Handles are awesome on a tower.

    That thing is like plastic.

    Googled it and found this:

    http://www.conf.co.jp/new_folder/making/cube_1.html

Just press the next button and each page shows the progression of its construction.

Not in english though, but a picture tells a 1000 words I suppose.

Having the handle on just one side doesn't make much sense. It's virtually useless that way (you can't carry it using the handle). Also, the design is generally too rounded for recent Apple designs.

Apple wouldn't use lower-case, nor "EX2"; it'd be "Intel Core 2 Duo" or "Intel Core 2 Quattro", or similar.

That said, it does look beautiful.

Thanks for feedback. I know, looks like you could hurt yourself touching the handle Just getting some stuff out there. Here's a boring ad but something Apple would have to do if they ever tried to go after the business world

Thanks. One of the reasons I can't do professional graphic design is that I like making things look nice without real regard to marketing, functional, boss-pleasing stuff. And I have no idea how to be a bloody artist and sell my paintings and stuff to make a living. Though I should explore that line!!!

Yeah, the G5 handles were pretty sharp. Especially considering how heavy the things were.

Yes I have to say I got a big shock when I took delivery of my G5 - That thing is a monster weight wise.

I still think its the best tower Apple have ever released.
