New G4 Memory?

Ok, I'm getting one of those new Dual 1.25GHz G4s, but the memory is so damn expensive. Where can I get a PC2700 DDR-SDRAM 512MB stick that's going to work in this G4 so I can get at least 1GB of RAM on this thing w/o paying Apple's outrageous prices?

Be careful when you are on PriceWatch, there is alot of crap out there.

I would suggest waiting a couple days (you have until mid-september right?) and getting the RAM from <a href="http://eshop.macsales.com"; target="_blank">OWC</a> or <a href="http://www.crucial.com/"; target="_blank">Crucial</a>.

I say wait because OWC doesn't have any PC2700 yet and Crucial will only accept returns if they suggest the RAM for your system and it might take a little bit until they get to test out the RAM they have.

I have delt with both companies and the only complaint is with OWC not telling me about the custom taxes I had to pay (I live in Canada). With Crucial there was no custom taxes to pay.
