Chances to get a glance at the package?
Chances to get a friends memory involved? (Friends are really
good at recalling technical specs. Well, sometimes.)

Usually there is a sticker with the specs either on the back of the machine, or on the door when you open it up. Give that a try.

I forgot to mention that you could jot the S/N (which is badged somewhere
at the back) of that particular computer down and perform either an
Apple Database or a Google search. That might give you some hints
about the specs too.
Oh and why not open the chest and have a look at the Processor
and the Graphic card directly.
Give that a try too.
