I will soon be getting a macbook, and had a question about iPhoto. Can you make photoalbums with it? IE put all your digital photos w/ captions etc, all in a nice layout, then order (for example) A leather bound copy of it? Thanks!

Yes. Several of the online photo sharing sites produce iPhoto plug-ins that allow you to upload albums directly from [newer versions of] the application to the website.
I tried three vendors: Apple, MyPublisher and PhotoBox. They were all of acceptable quality but, on balance, I thought the Apple photobook was the best.
