norton antivirus on new macbooks?

when purchasing a norton antivirus (for mac) for our macbooks, will i have to repurchase another norton antivirus (for windows) when i switch to use windows on my macbook?

    Yes would need two separate licenses. Don't waste your money on the either version. According to Symantec themselves, there are no viruses on the Mac. Just use one of the open source AV programs for the PC.

    Use ClamWin or AntiVir on Windows, and $ABSOLUTELY_NOTHING on Mac OS X, then send the money you saved to me.

    What Chucker said. I sent him $60 bucks and have had no virus problems on my Powerbook in 4+ years.

    ClamAV also has an OSX version. If you really want virus protection, that's a free choice. On top of that it won't hose your system like Symantec's AV client can.
