During the past two days this has happened twice. I'll be browsing the net or on itunes running OS X 10.4.7 and then a transparent grey screen will slide down from the top of my display on my macbook pro 17 inch and come up with an error message saying i have to hold the power button down and restart my computer. This is the report I get when I reboot:

panic(cpu 1 caller 0x0019C9EF): Unresolved kernel trap (CPU 1, Type 14=page fault), registers:

Do you have any unusual kernel extensions installed? Are you running MenuTemperature, CoreDuoTemp, Temperature Monitor or similar?

Hmmm, it says page fault so maybe you have a bad Ram chip or it's not seated right. Try popping the chips out and putting them back in. I think it's easy enough to do with the laptops now - you just remove the battery and pull the levers.

Run the hardware test fully, there's a RAM test in there somewhere.
